Role of Concession Agreements in Implementation of Investment Projects to Develop Transport Infrastructure
On October 29, 2008 the Partnership for International Business Development together with Transpoyekt Ltd held in Moscow an international Conference on the Role of Concession Agreements in Implementation of Investment Projects to Develop Transport Infrastructure. This Conference was supported by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, State Duma, Association of European Businesses in Russia, US-Russia Business Council and many other organizations. The Conference objective consisted in bringing together key decision-makers to discuss various issues and challenges related to financing and implementation of strategic infrastructure projects in the Russian Federation that would be realized on the basis of PPP and concession agreements.
Among the key-note speakers at the Conference were the representatives of State Duma, Ministry of Transportation RF, Federal Highway Agency, senior executives of Vnesheconombank, EBRD, Russian and foreign companies including Transstroy, KPMG, Siemens, Strabag, Satellic, Salans, Gide Loyrette Nouel, Chadbourn and Park LLC, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, CMS Cameron McKenna, and Vegas-Lex among others.
The Conference was attended by over 100 delegates and widely covered by the local mass media.
